What types of motors can I test?
The Motor Genie MCA is used to troubleshoot AC squirrel cage motors under 1000V. For motor testing instruments for DC motors and/or motors above 1000V, please see alltestpro.com.
Does the Motor Genie have condition monitoring trending?
The Motor Genie MCA does not come with software for motor condition monitoring and trending over time. However, the Motor Genie Condition Calculator app for IOS & Android devices allows users to save data (to manually trend) and create reports.
Is this for testing motors that are powered on or off?
The Motor Genie MCA is used to test motors that do not have a connected power supply, also known as "deenergized motors".
Can this device test old motors?
Yes. The Motor Genie MCA can test any motor that does not have a connected power supply. It uses a non-destructive test method that sends signals through the electrical system of the motor to determine the integrity of the internal components. This process must be done while the motor is disconnected from power.
What is MCA technology?
MCATM, or Motor Circuit AnalysisTM, is a proprietary technology developed by electric motor predictive maintenance company ALL-TEST Pro.
